Thank you for being so vulnerable and honest. The truth is this could happen to any one of us.

Blindness caused by the expectations that we love to see fulfilled. I think that this happens to everyone.

It's good to bring this (the normal human pitfalls) on the table that even a person with more than average knowledge in this matter also is going through challenges. Simply, our emotional state of desires has an influence on our pure critical thinking.

It also means that we never should judge someone who does "stupid things" by starting a certain relationship. That's how we get our experiences: not from theoretical knowledge but from life itself. We are more than only a scientific mind. We are in a body with chemicals that have influences on the whole body, including the brains, our nerves, our feelings,... and there is also the deeper level of the soul (for those who are familiar with the spiritual life).

We are on a journey through life and some things just happen in a way that we absolutely can't understand at that moment. Only those who connect to that deeper layer of consciousness, understand what happens, but also can't avoid it... it's an intended part of our journey with its lessons. At that moment you yourself even can see that it's like you're in a movie where you can't change certain scripts.

Once we are in the full understanding of our past human life we will probably laugh with all our struggles and reactions, but for now, as long as we are in this body... some experiences just happen to us.

Never hit yourself for such (sometimes stupid) experiences. Learn the lessons and proceed to enjoy life the way it suits best for you. It's not a competition for being the best performer. 😉
